Mayor's Bicycle Ride

In an effort to showcase Terre Haute's trail system, encourage alternative transportation, and promote healthy lifestyles, Mayor Bennett will host the Second Annual Mayor's Bicycle Ride on Saturday, May 10th at Indiana State University’s Memorial Stadium.

From 11:15-11:45AM, Indiana State University Police will present a bicycle safety session for children.

At 12:00PM, Mayor Bennett will host a brief town hall question and answer session to discuss the bikeability of Terre Haute. The police-escorted ride will begin immediately following the town hall and traveling down the National Road Heritage Trail, through downtown, and return on Ohio Street to make an approximate 5 mile loop back to the ISU Stadium.

The event is free and open to the Terre Haute community. The first 150 participants will receive an organic cotton t-shirt and drawstring bag thanks to GAI Consultants, Graphic FX, One Planet Solar, and the Indiana State University Institute for Community Sustainability. All participants are encouraged to wear a helmet.
