Sewage Billing News: New Programming eliminates "Double Bill" issues where a small portion of Customers may have received 2 meter reads on their June bill

A small portion of customers received 2 reads on 1 bill creating a bill which captured 2 months of wastewater charges. Programming will fix future instances and the amounts due are correct only the due date was affected.
For the past 6 months, COTH Sewage Billing Department has noticed an
increase in the frequency of receiving 2 meter reads from IAW within 1
monthly billing time frame for a small portion of customers. This had
traditionally only happened during winter months when weather or the
Holidays caused route scheduling issues by IAW. In response to the
increase, the Sewage Billing Department has engaged the billing vendor
to implement programming to eliminate any future 2 read on 1 bill
issues. It is important to note that the wastewater usage charges were
never inaccurately applied by the double reads on the bill, only the
date the charge was due changed.
