The Terre Haute City Council will appoint one member to the Board of Zoning Appeals.  Each member will serve four (4) years for their term.  

• Appointees must may not be an elected official or be appointed to any other office in the city, county, or state government
• Appointees must meet one of the following requirements:
  • Resident of the City
  • Resident of the County but own real property in the City
• Majority of the appointees must be residents of the City
• Appointee while serving may not be biased or prejudiced or otherwise unable to be impartial
• Appointee while serving may not have a direct or indirect financial interest in the outcome of the hearing or the decision
