Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

• Responsible for the cleaning of the bathrooms and the garage at the Street Department.
• Responsible for keeping the grounds around the department clean and free of trash.
• Responsible for minor upkeep of the building and property such as painting fencing and the building.
• May be required to assist any foreman in a duty that does not require him/her to drive.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Must have either a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be task oriented and able to work in any environment.
• Must use appropriate equipment techniques and adhere to the rules and regulations of the department.
• Must work well with other employees.
• Must be able to work well with the public.
• General knowledge of using a shovel, broom, paintbrush, mop and general cleaning supplies.

Working Conditions:  Outdoors/ Indoors under harsh weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Twisting, bending, stooping, lifting and shoveling.
• Standing for long periods of time and walking for long periods of time.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
