City of Terre Haute Announces Development of a New, User-Friendly City Website
March 11, 2025

The City of Terre Haute is excited to announce that a brand-new, fully redesigned city website is in development and set to launch in Q3 of this year. This long-awaited update comes in response to valuable feedback from residents who have expressed concerns about the current site’s usability, navigation, and accessibility.
“Our residents have been clear—the current website does not meet their needs,” said Brandon Sakbun, Mayor of Terre Haute. “We’ve listened, and we’re taking action to create a modern, user-friendly experience that makes it easier to access city services, find important information, and stay connected with the community.”
What to Expect from the New Website:
- Improved Navigation – Find information faster with an intuitive and streamlined layout.
- Mobile-Friendly Design – Easily access city resources from any device.
- Enhanced Search Functionality – Quickly locate city services, contacts, and documents.
- User-Focused Features – Online payments, service requests, and interactive tools featured prominently on the home page.
“The City’s administration is committed to transparency and the website’s redesign is just one aspect of improved transparency when it comes to accessing city resources.” said Mayor Brandon Sakbun. Updates, sneak peeks, and opportunities for feedback will be shared on social media and the City’s official communication channels.
“We are building this website for our residents, regional partners, employees, and visitors.” added Larry Wetnight, Director of Information Technology. “The IT Department is working diligently with our vendors to ensure we are creating a website that people can be proud of using.”
