FIRE MERIT BOARD
APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED
The Terre Haute City Council will appoint one member to the Fire Merit Board. The member will serve four (4) years for their term.
- Appointees must be at least 21 years of age
- Appointees must be of good moral character
- Appointees must be a legal resident of the City of Terre Haute for three (3) consecutive years preceding the term of appointment
- Appointees may not be an active member of the police or fire department
- Appointees may not receive renumeration as salary from the City or of any other fire department or agency
- Appointees may not hold another elective or appointive office in either a city, town, township, county or state government
- No more than two (2) board members may be past members of the police or fire department
