Margaret Avenue from Prairieton Road to S US HWY 41 Roadway and Storm Sewer Improvements

LOCATION – Prairieton Road to S US Hwy 41

FACTS –

• This section of Margaret Avenue is in poor condition and currently serves commercial uses on the south side and multi-family residential on the north side.
• The roadway is narrow and has limited curb, gutter with no storm sewer. There are no sidewalks on this section of Margaret Av.
• Congestion and traffic control for left turn is problem

PROJECT GOALS –

• Widening the roadway and installing a continuous left turn lane to safely and better accommodate traffic flow
• Reduce congestion and reduce risk of accidents
• New storm sewer system and curb and gutter
• New Sidewalk on north side of Margaret Av

Once complete, the project will deliver a safer, more efficient roadway that serves the needs of the community well into the future.
