Current Terre Haute Long Term Control Plan (LTCP)
- Originally submitted and approved in 2011
- Amended in 2014 to replace storage lagoons with a high-rate treatment facility
- 20 year plan to reduce Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) to Wabash River from 37 to 7 per year

The City has submitted a new proposed Long Term Control Plan to IDEM for review.
The key features of the proposed LTCP are:
- This plan will maintain the reduction from 37 overflows to 7 overflows
- Proposed 30 year timeline for completion
- Integrated planning to combine financing for both LTCP projects and projects related to storm and sanitary sewer
- New route proposed for parallel interceptor sewer to save cost
- More integrated green infrastructure to reduce burden on combined sewers
- 96 MGD main lift station
- Walnut Street outfall is proposed to stay in use
- Additional 16.5-33 MGD High Rate Treatment (HRT) Facility
