Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

  • Maintain and prepare sports facilities including ball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields, and pickle ball courts
  • Assist during all major events hosted by the Recreation Department
  • Lead set-up and tear-down for special events
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down of seasonal park decorations
  • Clean recreation facilities, offices, public restrooms, and rental spaces
  • Install playground equipment
  • Manage inspection records and reports
  • Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning
  • Perform all other tasks and maintenance duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Recreation and Director of Recreation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Working ability to prioritize assignments and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team
  • Ability to read and follow installation instructions
  • Ability to work overtime for special events as required
  • Experience operating lawn care equipment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification
  • Certified PlaygroundSafety Inspector (CPSI) Certification

Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor settings

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a wide variety of environments, including extreme heat and cold
  • Ability to lift at least 75lbs
  • Able to bend, stoop & flex in order to complete responsibilities of position
  • Ability to see and hear within normal parameters
  • Ability to stand for long period of time
