Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
- Maintain and prepare sports facilities including ball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields, and pickle ball courts
- Assist during all major events hosted by the Recreation Department
- Lead set-up and tear-down for special events
- Assist with set-up and tear-down of seasonal park decorations
- Clean recreation facilities, offices, public restrooms, and rental spaces
- Install playground equipment
- Manage inspection records and reports
- Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning
- Perform all other tasks and maintenance duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Recreation and Director of Recreation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Working ability to prioritize assignments and solve problems
- Ability to work independently as well as a team
- Ability to read and follow installation instructions
- Ability to work overtime for special events as required
- Experience operating lawn care equipment
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification
- Certified PlaygroundSafety Inspector (CPSI) Certification
Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor settings
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a wide variety of environments, including extreme heat and cold
- Ability to lift at least 75lbs
- Able to bend, stoop & flex in order to complete responsibilities of position
- Ability to see and hear within normal parameters
- Ability to stand for long period of time
