Department: Parks and Recreation
Reports to: Director of Recreation
Pay Rate:
- Contract
- 50% of revenue from each class taught
Position Responsibilities:
- Open and close the Deming Park Pottery Studio
- Complete and submit all required forms
- Daily cleaning duties of the Deming Park Pottery Studio and surrounding area
- Prep and prepare all equipment and lesson plans for classes
- Money handling
- Pottery program sales
- Assist with special events
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to teach
- Knowledgeable of advanced ceramics skills and practices
- Ability to accurately count and handle money
- Must have weekend availability
- Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching Experience
- Program management experience
- Valid CPR certification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long period of time
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds
