Position:  Pool Cashier (Seasonal)

Dept: Parks

Pay Rate:

• $10.00 per hour
• Up to 28 hours per week

Position Responsibilities:

• Open and close the Deming Park Pool Café and Front Desk area during established hours of operation
• Complete and submit all required forms
• Daily cleaning duties of the Deming Park Pool and surrounding area
• Prepare ready-made concessions
• Follow regulations set by the Food Protection Ordinance of Vigo County
• Money handling and balancing
• Pool admission sales
• Assist with special events

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Ability to work well in a team
• Ability to effectively communicate in an assertive and positive manner with the public
• Ability to accurately count and handle money
• Must be at least 15 years old

Preferred Qualifications:

• Money handling experience
• Valid CPR certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a wide variety of environment, including extreme heat and cold
• Ability to stand for long period of time
• Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds
